TALK – Magnum Photos Now: Photography, Journalism, and Legacy

March 2018 will mark ten years since the death of acclaimed Magnum photojournalist, Philip Jones Griffiths. His work stands as an irreplaceable document of the latter half of the 20th century, and he is best known for his landmark book, Vietnam Inc., which had a major impact on the public perception of the Vietnam War.

The Philip Jones Griffiths Foundation is proud to announce that in partnership with theprintspace, the winner and finalists of the Philip Jones Griffiths Foundation Award 2017 will have their work exhibited at Gallery 46 – Tickner Mclusky Bell & Young December 7-14. There will also be a selection of the 2016 winner’s work as well

The Vietnam War Documentary

THE VIETNAM WAR is a ten-part, 18-hour documentary film series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick that will air on PBS in September 2017. This in depth look at the Vietnam War heavily features Philip’s work. PJG documentary wins Hollywood Award

The documentary celebrating the work of Philip Jones Griffiths has won a prestigious award in Los Angeles. Philip Jones Griffiths: Ffotograffydd Rhyfel Fietnam won a Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards for the best foreign feature.
